Meet Coach Alfie

Alfie has been part of Evolution since he was a child, working his way up through the belts with dedication and passion. His years of experience and commitment to the art have led him to become one of our instructors — now serving as Head Coach at our Gisborough location, and teaching every Friday and Saturday at our Darlington headquarters.

Known for his excellent attention to detail and clear communication, Alfie creates classes that are both technical and engaging. He’s a great motivator who brings out the best in his students, encouraging everyone to push past their limits while maintaining a supportive and positive atmosphere. He’s also earned a reputation for ending each session with a finisher — a tough, high-energy challenge that leaves everyone on the mats giving their all right to the final second.

Alfie is also available for one-to-one tuition at the Darlington Academy for those looking to take their training to the next level.
